Molecular Weight :
The protein has a predicted MW of 50.5 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 55-60 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.

Formulation :
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 20mM PB, 500mM NaCl (pH 8.0). Normally 8% trehalose / 8% mannitol is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Reconstitution :
Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.

Storage and Stability :

Background :
p53 is a tumor suppressor protein. Under stressful conditions, p53 tightly regulates cell growth by promoting apoptosis and DNA repair.
